Having said that, I still want to post June’s flute, which is built from an engineered hardwood, called Alowood. The material has not been available anywhere on earth for about 13 years, and is/was a remarkable tone wood. Additional woods used include twice dyed box elder burl, Old growth redwood burl, and Oklahoma red cedar. Stone and powder work includes Australian fire opal. Labradorite, turquoise, abalone, powdered turquoise, and powdered New Mexico pipestone, The fetish block for this instrument is somewhat fragile, so you don’t want to walk around hitting people with the instrument.
